made by the attorney, WNY Legal Nurse Consulting can help you clearly
identify the medical treatment issues involved in the case. The Legal Nurse
Consultant can save your firm time and money by bringing our extensive
nursing and medical knowledge to the initial case review. After receiving
your file our nurses will review the records and identify any variations
from established standards of care. We will prepare a report which cites any
published references and create a narrative which clearly relates the
sequence of events in the record. Our reports clarify issues such as
co-morbidity and failure to follow recommendations which can seriously
effect case viability.
Whether negotiating for settlement or preparing for trial, our
case chronologies become invaluable tools for success. Upon receipt of a copy of
the complete medical records file our nurses will organize them by date and
treating facility/practitioner. Records are bound, paginated for easy reference
and a detailed index created. Each document in the record is then reviewed and a
detailed chronology is created which identifies all pertinent medical issues.
The chronology is then supplemented by descriptions and definitions in plain
English and concludes with a summary that presents the record in a concise
narrative which identifies any areas which support or undermine your position.
Electronic files
Tired of lugging boxes of documents from one location to
another while working your case? After organizing the records and providing
our summary and/or chronology we can take those voluminous records and
transfer them to a compact electronic file on as little as one Compact Disc
or USB Flash Drive. Finished files include folder separation by facility or
practitioner, pagination and indexing and are even keyword searchable.
